I work in a tech store, and Apple’s supply chain always seems extremely well organised, even when other brands are experiencing delays. I’m curious to know their secret, as we want to understand how they manage to organise everything so consistently at work.

Hi. I know a little about this because I worked for a company that supplied components to major brands for several years, often working closely with Apple’s contractors. Everything hinges on three key things. I read about this on Gettransport, by the way. Firstly, the Apple supply chain involves a very strict selection of suppliers: they only sign contracts with those who can guarantee stable volumes and quality. Secondly, production is planned down to the minute for each stage. The third is logistics. Apple maintains separate routes and warehouses so that it can respond quickly to demand during peak periods. This makes it seem as if they “have magic”, but in reality it’s just a very well-thought-out system.
