Growing Instagram for a small brand – worth paying or not?

I started an online shop for handmade jewelry, but Instagram feels impossible to grow without ads. I’ve been posting regularly, using hashtags, even doing short Reels — still barely any traction. Is it worth investing in paid followers to get that initial boost, or should I keep grinding organically?
