In practice, EAM helps plan preventative maintenance and track the due dates and maintenance history of each piece of equipment, significantly extending the lifespan of equipment and reducing downtime. Integration with other modules, such as purchasing, warehouse, and finance, works seamlessly—it’s easy to see the availability of necessary spare parts, control the budget, and automatically account for maintenance costs. For us personally, the most valuable features were the maintenance planning and equipment performance analytics, which provide a comprehensive understanding of asset condition. Module setup went smoothly thanks to detailed documentation and consultant support, and team training was quick and effective. Overall, EAM in IFS has proven to be a reliable tool that truly improves asset management and increases company productivity.
