Hey, how’s it going? I’ve been to Egypt twice in January, so I can share my personal experience. Before my first visit, I came across an article about the weather in Egypt https://getexperience.com/blog/posts/best-time-to-visit-egypt and much of it matched what I had seen myself. Morning and evening temperatures are indeed cool, sometimes making you want to put on a sweatshirt. However, during the day, the sun is quite pleasant and warm enough for sunbathing. The wind can be strong, but it depends on the resort. In Sharm, the wind is lighter and swimming is more comfortable in bays like Ras Umm el-Sid or Naama Bay. In January, the sea is neither hot nor cold; I walked in comfortably, though some might find it a bit chilly. If warmer hours and protection from the wind are important to you, then choose quiet bays. Avoid open beaches. Winter in Egypt feels like our warm autumn, only with sunshine. This is a great vacation if you don’t expect the summer heat.
